Sensitive Material Notice
Do not upload sensitive, classified, controlled, security-restricted, or employer-confidential material. If you are unsure whether you are allowed to share it, do not send it. Describe the experience at a safe, non-sensitive level instead.
Do not send
- Classified information.
- CUI/FOUO.
- Export-controlled technical data.
- Security-sensitive government operational material.
- Credentials/access secrets.
- Detailed vulnerability/architecture/configuration material inappropriate for a public resume.
- Unauthorized employer proprietary/confidential material.
What to do instead
If a detail is sensitive, describe the experience at the safe, non-sensitive level appropriate for a public resume — for example, general scale, responsibility, or outcome rather than specific classified or proprietary detail.
Military records are optional. Do not upload a full DD214, VMET, JST, or similar record merely for routine military-to-civilian translation. If you voluntarily provide a military record later, redact irrelevant Social Security numbers, DoD IDs, home addresses, medical information, family/dependent information, and other unnecessary personal data first.
Where this notice applies
This warning appears before every future source-file upload, on the Start-flow source-collection screen, and in the FAQ. Secure source upload is not active in this pre-launch version; see the Start Your Resume flow for its current staging status.
