Frequently asked questions
What makes this different from a normal resume rewrite?
A normal rewrite can only improve the material already on the page. Our process looks for evidence the resume may be hiding — scale, authority, measurable impact, progression, leadership, documentation, process ownership, and other facts that materially change positioning. When a target posting exists, we read the resume and posting before detailed questions.
Do I need a specific job posting?
No. Professional Resume can be built for a Specific Posting, a General Field / Role Family, or a Broad General Resume goal. A posting is required only for services whose deliverables depend on a defined employer or announcement, including DoD / Federal Resume, Career Attack Package, and Interview Preparation.
What if I do not know which resume, package, or template I need?
Choose "Recommend for Me." We use your target market, posting, experience depth, and application requirements to recommend the appropriate path. Template choice is not the main value of the service.
Will you invent or exaggerate experience?
No. We can strengthen supported wording, clarify real authority, quantify real scope, and surface real accomplishments. We do not fabricate duties, metrics, dates, credentials, technologies, titles, clearance claims, or results.
Do you guarantee interviews or ATS results?
No. We do not guarantee interviews, referrals, qualification determinations, offers, salaries, hiring outcomes, or ATS ranking/scoring. ATS-compatible means the resume is designed for conventional text extraction and application workflows, not that every system will rank or accept it in a particular way.
What files do I receive?
Resume-producing packages normally include one final resume version in editable DOCX and layout-stable PDF. If an employer or application system requires a different submission method, that requirement controls. Interview Preparation delivers a written interview-preparation package and does not rewrite the resume.
How many pages will my resume be?
We ask your preference, with "Recommend for Me" as the default. One page can fit early-career or narrow profiles. Experienced candidates often need a professionally balanced two-page resume. Federal / DoD-civilian announcement rules override personal page preferences. We do not shrink strong content simply to force one page.
Can you create federal / DoD civilian resumes?
Yes. The DoD / Federal Resume service is for materially announcement-driven work that requires specialized-experience proof, required fields, page/format constraints, hours/week, or similar federal-style treatment. Ordinary defense-contractor jobs normally use Professional Resume rather than the premium federal route.
Can I send classified, CUI, FOUO, export-controlled, or sensitive work material?
No. Do not send classified, CUI/FOUO, export-controlled, security-sensitive government material, credentials/access information, or employer-proprietary material you are not authorized to share. If a detail is sensitive, describe the experience at the safe, non-sensitive level appropriate for a public resume.
Can you translate military experience into civilian language?
Yes. When current or prior U.S. Armed Forces service applies, we may use authoritative occupational descriptions and transition references to identify duties, skills, training, or civilian equivalents worth verifying. Those references do not prove what you personally did. We verify material experience with you before using it, and you do not need to provide a full DD214, VMET, JST, or similar record merely for routine translation.
Do you use AI?
We use a controlled combination of professional judgment, client-provided evidence, research, document tools, and AI-assisted tools in parts of the workflow. AI may support analysis, drafting, editing, comparison, or quality review, but material claims must trace back to supported evidence. We do not market the work as entirely human-written when AI assistance is used, and we do not guarantee an AI-detector result.
How does evidence discovery work?
We first identify what your source material already proves. When a posting exists, we map that evidence against the posting; otherwise we assess it against your stated field or broad resume goal. Then we ask only questions that can materially improve the result — for example, about scale, authority, impact, progression, leadership, or documentation. The goal is fewer, better questions.
What happens when important target experience is missing?
We do not convert a gap into invented experience. We use the closest proven evidence, keep the boundary clear, and position the candidate at the strongest defensible level. In interview-preparation scope, important gaps can also receive truthful bridge-answer preparation.
What revisions are included?
Professional Resume and DoD / Federal Resume include up to 2 consolidated revision rounds requested within 7 calendar days of initial delivery. Career Attack includes up to 2 consolidated rounds across the written package within 7 calendar days. Interview Preparation includes 1 consolidated refinement round requested within 5 calendar days. Service-created factual or formatting errors are corrected without using a revision round.
What happens if I target another requisition later?
A different requisition, employer target, or materially different direction normally requires a new tailoring engagement because the requirement → evidence → gap analysis must be rebuilt. It is not treated as a free revision.
Should I include a photo?
We ask your target country/market before asking about a photo. For U.S. ATS, ordinary DoD-contractor, and federal / DoD-civilian resumes, the default recommendation is no photo unless a specific employer/market makes one appropriate.
Do you offer rush service?
No public rush service is offered during the first 10 paid engagements. Controlled evidence review and QA are not compressed simply to create an expedited upsell.
