Privacy Notice
1. Scope
This Privacy Notice explains how Unseen Merit LLC handles information for direct resume writing, interview preparation, and career-positioning services. It applies to information submitted through approved Unseen Merit channels and to information used in performing an engagement.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only information reasonably needed to evaluate, perform, document, and support the purchased service, such as contact information, career history, job targets, client-supplied files, service communications, order or service metadata, and limited transaction metadata.
We do not intentionally collect or store full payment-card numbers or card security codes; passwords or access credentials; classified information; CUI/FOUO; export-controlled technical data; security-sensitive government operational material; or unauthorized employer-proprietary information. Please do not submit those categories.
3. How We Use Information
- Perform the purchased resume, interview, or career-positioning service.
- Review source material and job requirements, identify evidence gaps, and ask only material clarification questions.
- Draft, edit, format, research, and quality-check deliverables.
- Communicate about the engagement, revisions, payment status, or support.
- Preserve minimum records needed for service administration, consent, truth attestation, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
4. Service Providers and Data Flow
Unseen Merit uses Dropbox File Requests as a controlled intake method for client-provided career files. After required files are received, they are transferred to the applicable controlled Google Workspace/Google Drive client workspace for production. Dropbox is used as an intake gateway, not as the long-term production repository.
We may also use other approved service providers for communication, document production, research, quality assurance, AI-assisted workflow support, and payment processing. Direct payments may be processed by Stripe. Approved providers receive only information reasonably needed for their role and remain subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
5. Cross-Border Processing
Some service providers may process or store data outside the United States. By using our services, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, subject to the privacy protections described in this notice and the safeguards applicable to the approved providers.
6. AI-Assisted Tools
Approved AI-assisted tools may be used for ordinary, non-prohibited client information to support analysis, drafting, editing, comparison, research, or quality review. Human review and the project’s truth, privacy, evidence, and sensitive-material controls remain required. We do not promise that a deliverable is “not AI” or guarantee any AI-detector result.
7. Sharing, Sale, and Portfolio Use
Unseen Merit does not sell or rent client resume or career data for money. Real client materials are not used publicly in a portfolio, case study, or marketing example without separate affirmative consent. Synthetic demonstrations are labeled as synthetic and do not use a real client’s private materials.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a small professional service, including controlled business accounts, multi-factor authentication where supported, unique-account controls, least-privilege access, controlled client workspaces, and restricted upload practices. No service can promise absolute security.
9. Retention and Deletion
Unseen Merit does not keep ordinary client production files indefinitely. Dropbox intake copies are removed from the active Dropbox workspace after successful transfer and verification as soon as operationally practical. Active production files in the controlled Google Drive workspace are retained only as needed for the engagement, revision period, and legitimate business or legal needs, with an internal target of deletion approximately 30 calendar days after engagement closure.
Deleted or backup/recovery copies may remain temporarily within service-provider systems according to the provider’s technical recovery, backup, and deletion lifecycle. Minimal service, consent, truth-attestation, and dispute records may be retained longer than ordinary production files, with an internal target of 24 months, subject to applicable legal retention requirements. Financial and tax records may be retained under separate legal retention requirements.
10. Data Breach Notification
Unseen Merit takes reasonable measures to protect your information. In the event of a security breach affecting unencrypted personal information, Unseen Merit will notify affected individuals as a commitment to responsible data stewardship. Notification will be made promptly following discovery of the breach, subject to any delay requested by law enforcement. Unseen Merit may provide notice by written communication to the affected individual’s last known address, electronic notice, or conspicuous posting on the Unseen Merit website. This commitment is voluntary and is not stated as a Georgia statutory mandate for Unseen Merit.
11. Analytics, Cookies, and Advertising
Unseen Merit does not use advertising pixels, behavioral advertising, or non-essential analytics/cookies at launch. If that configuration changes, this notice and any required consent treatment will be reviewed and updated before activation.
12. Your Requests
You may contact privacy@unseenmerit.com to request access, correction, or deletion of information Unseen Merit still controls. Requests may be subject to identity verification and to technical, legal, security, dispute, financial-record, or other legitimate retention limits.
